Win a Chance to Star in Tombola Bingo's Emmerdale TV Bumpers

    SUNDERLAND, ENGLAND, January 20, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Not everyone gets to be a star for 15 minutes, as Andy Warhol predicted, but they can become a star for 15 seconds as part of a new initiative by online bingo operators, tombola.

tombola, Britain's biggest online bingo site and sponsors ITV's popular soap, Emmerdale, is holding a casting day to choose bingo players to appear in its latest sponsorship bumpers, which run before, during and after each episode of ITV's Emmerdale.

The winners of the casting session will get to spend a fun-filled three days filming the bumpers and, enjoy being a star for a few days.

It's the third time that tombola has used their players in TV advertising, after the huge success of the previous casting sessions. "We still love our existing set of ads," says Dawn-Elizabeth Howe, Head of Marketing at tombola, "but it's time now to freshen them up and we know there's lots of our bingo players who would jump at the chance to take part, which we're delighted about".

Participants in the previous set of TV bumpers had a fantastic time during the filming. Stephen Rowlands, 32 from Liverpool who is known to his fellow roomies on the tombola site as 'redhotbear' said "From the moment I arrived at the casting day, to the second we left the hotel to come home after the filming, I don't think I've had an experience that was as much fun for such a period of time".

tombola bingo players who want to take part should log into their account, send an up-to-date photo and tell tombola the reason why they want to be on the next set of their Emmerdale TV adverts. The closing date for applications is 10am on the 7th February.

The casting day will be held on Saturday 26th February in London. A hundred participants will be invited, and those chosen will have reasonable travel expenses reimbursed. Following the casting day, 25 players will be selected for the three-day shoot on 28-30 March.
