Gruff Rhys, frontman of the Super Furry Animals and now an acclaimed solo artist, is set to perform at the Norwich Arts Centre on Sunday February 20th 2011.

The Welshman's gig will take place just days after the release of Hotel Shampoo, his third solo studio album.

According to Rhys' website, the LP was inspired by the singer's "extensive collection of mini shampoo bottles and complimentary hotel products acquired while touring the world".

Fans of the 40-year-old will no doubt be keen to hear tracks from the new record, which includes the recent limited-edition single Shark Ridden Waters.

Rhys certainly has plenty of material to draw from when playing live, having released ten albums as a member of Super Furry Animals and collaborated with other musicians on various projects.

Stainless Style, the 2008 concept album he made with electronic producer Boom Bip under the moniker Neon Neon, was nominated for the Mercury Prize.

Tickets for Rhys' Norwich performance are priced at GBP13.50 in advance and GBP15 door, with the music due to begin at 20:00 GMT.
