CORNWALL, ENGLAND, January 25, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A revival of The History Boys by Alan Bennett is set to take place in Cornwall next month.
The Leeds-born playwright's much-loved dramatic tale of bright adolescents preparing for the Oxbridge entrance exam at a northern grammar school in the early 1980s was praised by critics when it opened in 2004.
After a sold-out run at the National Theatre, the play was adapted into an acclaimed film directed by Nicholas Hytner and featuring Richard Griffiths, Frances de la Tour and an early appearance by James Corden.
People staying in one of the luxury hotels Cornwall has to offer will soon be able to see Bennett's witty story brought to life on stage once more, as Truro's Hall for Cornwall is staging a new production from Monday February 28th to Saturday March 5th.
Tickets for the play, which will be the first major revival of The History Boys since the 2004 original, are priced between GBP7 and GBP26.
Evening performances will begin at 19:30 local time, while matinees are set to take place at 14:30 on March 3rd and March 5th.
The latter performance will also be an audio described show.
