LONDON, ENGLAND, January 28, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Theatregoers may be excited to see that a new run of Clybourne Park is beginning in London's West End, after proving to be a huge success at its previous venue.
Written by Bruce Norris, the piece received a lot of praise from critics when it was performed at the Royal Court and it will now be staged at Wyndham's Theatre.
The run kicks off on January 28th and travellers with hotel London bookings have until May 7th 2011 to see the show.
Clybourne Park tells the story of how a black family moves into a two-bedroom property in 1959 and their arrival is greeted with disapproval from neighbours in the area, with a similar wave of negativity experienced by a couple in 2009 who want to demolish the house and build a new one.
The satire focusing on property and race won the 2010 Evening Standard Theatre Awards accolade for best play, which should give tourists in nearby accommodation such as The Savoy Hotel London some idea of the quality of the piece.
It will be directed by Dominic Cooke and star Sarah Goldberg, Lorna Brown, Stephen Campbell Moore, Lucian Msamati and Stuart McQuarrie among others.
Tickets for this production cost between GBP20.50 and GBP85 and are available online or at the box office.
The show will be staged from Mondays to Saturdays at 19:30 GMT, with matinees at 14:30 taking place on Thursdays and Saturdays.
For more information on this event, visit the Clybourne Park website or contact the venue on 020 7565 5000.
