PHUKET, THAILAND, February 10, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- For four days from 3rd to 6th March 2011, petrol heads will be treated to some of the finest and most expensive cars on the planet as part of The Top Gear Live Prototype Australian Tour. As part of the event tour audiences will get to see cars that have been completely transformed and modified to the extent of producing awesome amounts of power.
The event is guided by two of the show's presenters Jeremy Clarkson and James May who are set to be joined by one of Australia's favourite actors and comedians, Shane Jacobsen who also presents Top Gear Australia.
Within the arena audiences will be entertained with a thrilling display of car stunts to compete with the outrageous stunts that feature on the TV programme. Part of the display will include a Nissan GT-R going up against a police helicopter but all of this will be staged indoors within the arena of the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
Car fans using a hotel in Brisbane can also see the tinkering of Clarkson and May who have constructed something special to be revealed at the show. If it's anything like the efforts they produce on TV however it's sure to break down within minutes.
Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com, commented: "The show offers people the opportunity to see rare cars and extraordinary stunts. Motoring fans will be booking hotels in Brisbane to enjoy the full day of action and visitors will therefore need to book before places start to fill up."
