    PHUKET, THAILAND, February 16, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Bath Half Marathon has developed into one of the most popular established city centre road events in the United Kingdom. It is also the charity fundraiser in the South West.

The course is flat and furiously fast, making this a suitable event for both beginners and experienced runners. Beginners often take part just to complete the course, while experienced athletes try to improve on their own best time from year to year.

The course consists of two laps with a combined length of 13.1 miles, covering both sides of the river Avon. It has been designed in such a way as to encourage maximum spectator support for the runners and there are more than sufficient locations from where to view the athletes in action.

Public entry for this race is already fully booked, but there are still charity entries available, as well as a number of family fun run entries. For the charity entries, all a runner has to do is to sponsor an approved charity and meet a fundraising target of GBP150.

There are a large number of good hotels in Bath and participants and their supporters should have no problem finding a suitable venue.
