BERLIN, GERMANY, February 16, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Indie rockers Glasvegas will perform at the Magnet Club in Berlin next month.
With new single Euphoria, Take My Hand recently hitting the airwaves, the Scottish band are set to return to the live circuit before the release of their second album in April.
Their performance in the German capital on Thursday March 10th should see fans turn out in their droves to hear the group's latest material, as well as older favourites.
It will also give many people a chance to see new drummer Jonna Lofgren in action for the first time. The Swedish musician joined the band in December last year.
Entitled Euphoric Heartbreak, the new Glasvegas record is due to arrive almost three years after their self-titled debut, which was nominated for the Mercury Prize in 2009.
Album track The World Is Yours was made available to download via the band's website in January, while the anticipation among fans increased further when Euphoria, Take My Hand was released earlier this month.
Glasvegas was formed in 2003 by James Allan, a former professional footballer who made appearances for a number of sides in the Scottish Football League.
After several years playing live and writing songs in their native Glasgow, the group began to create a major buzz in the music industry with a series of low-key single releases.
They signed to Columbia Records in 2008 and saw their first single for the label, Geraldine, reach number 11 in the UK chart.
Tickets for the Magnet Club show are available for EUR17 (GBP14.40) and the doors will open at 20:00 local time.
People who plan to attend the gig can browse through a variety of Berlin hotels at LateRooms.com, including the Maritim Hotel Berlin.
