BARCELONA, SPAIN, February 22, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Anyone keen to find out about documentary creation should check out Thoughtform at the Macba in Barcelona.
The installation, put together by the Otolith Group, is on show until May 29th 2011.
Rather than looking at the technical aspects of recording a documentary, it seeks to analyse the decision-making process behind it.
Thoughtform is the brainchild of Otolith Group founders Anjalika Sagar and Kodwo Eshun.
The Londoners used films, texts and other items to create a new form of historical record more akin to a personal diary for the installation.
Sagar and Eshun hope to prompt debates about contemporary identities and the way events are reported.
Visitors can pay EUR6 (GBP5) to see Thoughtform, or EUR7.50 for access to the whole museum.
On weekdays, the exhibition is open from 11:00 to 19:30 local time. This changes to 10:00 to 20:00 on Saturday and 10:00 to 15:00 on Sunday. The building is closed on Tuesday.
Those planning to visit the museum as part of their city break can browse a selection of cheap hotels in Barcelona on LateRooms.com, such as the Hotel Barbara Barcelona, which is a short walk from the Macba.
