ADELAIDE, AUSTRALIA, February 25, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Alliance Francaise French Film Festival (AFFFF) - the largest foreign event of its kind in Australia - is coming to Adelaide next month.
Now in its 22nd year, it will feature a packed 46-movie programme taking in everything from historical epics to feminist cinema.
Productions are split into eight groups to make it easier for people to track down the films they most want to see. New for this year is the horror category, entitled If You Want Blood, You've Got It.
Adelaide is the final stop on the AFFFF 2011 tour, which also calls at Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane and Perth.
It will open in the South Australia capital on March 23rd with a screening of Potiche, the latest creation from acclaimed filmmaker Francois Ozon. His previous works include 8 Women, Swimming Pool and Criminal Lovers.
The launch night takes place at the Palace Eastend Theatre. Proceedings get underway at 19:30 local time and all tickets are priced at AU$45.
Single-admission passes to other shows on the bill cost AU$18, although concessionary rates are available. Admission to five films can be purchased for AU$75.
The festival runs until April 10th.
