BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA, February 26, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Brisbane will take a trip back to the early days of rock'n'roll when Class of 59 comes to town next month.
The concert is presented by Australian music icon Lonnie Lee, whose 1959 hit Ain't It So shot him to fame and saw him compared to Elvis Presley.
He had eight number ones throughout his career, with the most recent - Sad Over Someone - coming in 1969.
As well as telling Lee's story, the event features tributes to some of the biggest names from the era of slicked back hair and leather jackets.
The audience can look forward to hearing the timeless tracks from Elvis, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, Bill Haley, Jerry Lee Lewis and more.
"Guaranteeing a foot tapping, head bopping, fantastic rock'n'roll show for all, come lose yourself in the show and the music that will have you swinging in the aisles and jiving the night away," the organisers said.
The production is coming to the Queensland Performing Arts Centre's Concert Hall on April 2nd 2011. It lasts two hours, including an interval.
Ticket prices vary from AU$60 to AU$70 plus booking fee, depending on the position of the seat.
