BARCELONA, SPAIN, March 05, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Centre de Cultura Contemporania de Barcelona (CCCB) is exploring the Italian city of Trieste through the eyes of the author Claudio Magris.
He was born in the city and has a deep connection to it, which is examined in detail with the help of excerpts from his texts, images of the destination and many other items.
According to the venue, curator of the exhibition and friend of Magris Giorgio Pressburger wants visitors to experience a very real sensation of the place.
Running from March 9th to July 17th 2011, The Trieste of Magris forms part of the CCCB's Cities and their Writers series of installations.
"Magris' extraordinary and complex texts often refer to Trieste, its personages, both anonymous and famous, to the history of the city and to the writer's own memories," noted the organisers of the show.
The CCCB is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 11:00 to 20:00 local time, except for Thursday when it shuts at 22:00.
It costs EUR5 (GBP4.25) to view the exhibition.
Attendees could also check out Disappeared, which is a collection of photographs captured by Gervasio Sanchez.
If art enthusiasts want to book cheap hotels in Barcelona, they can find a multitude of options at LateRooms.com, which recommends the Hotel Barbara Barcelona.
