LONDON, ENGLAND, March 09, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- London Street Photography will offer people a chance to see how the city has developed in the past 150 years through the lenses of a diverse range of artists.
There are more than 200 images through which to browse, with each picture capturing a fleeting moment in the history of the capital.
Valentine Blanchard, Wolf Suschitzky, Roger Mayne and Nick Turpin are among the photographers featured in the collection.
According to the venue, the installation focuses on pictures of everyday life in London.
"From sepia-toned scenes of horse-drawn cabs taken on bulky tripod-mounted cameras to 21st century Londoners digitally 'caught on film', explore how street photography has evolved from 1860 to the present day," urged the organisers.
In addition to contributions by well-known photographers, there will be a section of the exhibition devoted to contemporary images sent in during a recent competition.
The display can be seen at the Museum of London until September 4th and is free to view. Opening hours at the venue are from 10:00 to 18:00 GMT/BST daily.
Take the Central line to St Paul's to reach the complex via the London Underground.
LateRooms.com offers a wide variety of London hotels that could appeal to photography enthusiasts, including the Astor Court Hotel London.
