1. Cynosure Smart Lipo Triplex Laser
One of the most advanced technologies we have in our collection is the Cynosure(R) Smart Lipo Triplex(TM) Laser for liposuction. Back in late 2006, clinical trials were completed and the FDA approved the first laser technology for office based liposuction. Thus came the advent of office based and minimally invasive laser liposuction. Cynosure was the first manufacturer to receive FDA approval with its 6 watt laser and 1064 wavelength. Shortly afterward, similar lasers came to the market. As progress in the cosmetic field moved forward by leaps and bounds, the lasers became more powerful, as well as more selective, for different chromophores.
A chromophore is a part of a molecule in the body, that absorbs a certain wavelength of light. Lasers have become quite useful in medicine, especially in cosmetic procedures, for that very reason. By focusing our attention on specific tissue, we can be more efficient in performing our procedures. That means better cosmetic outcomes. The Triplex Laser that we employ in our Franklin Lakes facility serves several purposes. When performing laser liposuction, Dr. Fondacaro uses a combined blend of two wavelengths. That includes the 1064 wavelength, in addition to the 1440 wavelength. Each serves a specific purpose. The 1064 is frequently considered to be the best wavelength for coagulation, thus minimizing bruising. The 1440 wavelength is ideal for dissolving adipose (fat) tissue in less time. The third wavelength in the Triplex is the 1320; which works quite nicely for skin tightening. This particular wavelength heats up the underlying dermis (skin); causing that deeper layer of skin to produce more collagen. It is a physiological process that will occur over weeks and months.
Overall, the Triplex Laser is by far the most advanced laser on the market today and is presently being used here at Dr Park Ave for all your Body Sculpting needs. Our experience with Smart Lipo, since its inception, has led Cynosure to designate Dr Park Ave as a "Center of Excellence."
2. Human Med Body-Jet Liposuction
The Body-Jet, or Water Assisted Liposuction (WAL) device, uses water to remove fat from body tissue; while also keeping the fat cells healthy. This gentle technology reduces trauma to the cells -- minimizing bleeding, bruising and swelling. It also avoids higher suction and centrifuging. As compared to 45-50% retention rate with the traditional method, the Body-Jet can achieve up to an 85% fat retention rate. This technique basically washes the cells from your body. A good analogy would be to envision a garden hose (Body-Jet) aimed at a grapevine. The spray from the garden hose causes the grapes fall, intact, from the vine. The method of harvesting the fat is evident; and one can see how the adipose cells can remain viable.
3. Lipo Boost
Dr. Fondacaro combines the Triplex and Body-Jet, along with his decades of experience as a surgeon, to create Lipo Boost(R). First, the Body-Jet safely and gently removes your body fat. Once we've harvested enough, we use the Triplex Laser to remove the rest -- AND tighten the skin where the fat was removed. Dr. Fondacaro then inserts your body fat in areas to improve your appearance. Common areas to reuse your fat include: breasts; buttocks; the naso-labial folds, marionette lines, lips, cheeks, and temple area of your face; as well as the backs of your hands. Perhaps best of all, this method provides safer, longer lasting results than dermal fillers or implants... and no implants, means no surgical scars, and a greatly reduced risk of infection and rejection. Please call us for more information about Lipo Boost.
4. Osyris Lipotherme Laser
We use Lipotherme to remove fat from tightly targeted areas, such as a "double chin," and others. It's fast, safe, minimally invasive, and very effective. This procedure eliminates the need for (and the problems with) general anesthesia; and is performed in an office setting. Patients can resume normal activity relatively quickly, and in some cases, return to work the following day.
5. The Fotona Dualis Laser
Facials, vein removal, and hair removal are the specialties of the Fotona Dualis Laser. It provides two separate lasers for a variety of cosmetic procedures. The Erbium laser emits a 2940 wavelength. It's ideal for facial resurfacing and peels. The advantage of the Erbium laser is versatility. The traditional way to treat: acne scarring; skin irregularities; or superficial facial lines; was the CO2 laser. However, the major drawback was the intense redness, oozing, pain and significant downtime. The Erbium laser can resurface the skin at varying depths, for the desired effect as well as a faster recovery time. The Erbium laser can also be used to remove skin lesions such as skin tags and brown spots.
The second laser which makes up the Fotona Dualis laser is the Nd-Yag laser with its 1064 wavelength. This particular laser is versatile as well being able to eliminate spider veins on your legs, as well as facial veins. It can also be used for photorejuvenation, by stimulating collagen fibers in the dermal layer of the skin. Because of its affinity for blood vessels, it can also be used for hair removal by attacking the blood supply of hair follicles.
6. Cutera IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) Laser
This secialized treatment is often the preferred method for skin tone and texture concerns -- scars; sun damage, wrinkles, stretch marks, and age spots -- as well as hair removal. The light does not travel to deeper skin levels, providing a higher degree of safety.
Of course, it's not enough to merely own this equipment. Becoming an expert with each; and knowing how to blend a combination of lasers to best suit each patient; is what distinguishes Dr. Fondacaro. Take advantage of his decades of award-winning surgical experience; and see what this combination of man and machines can do for you.
