LOUISVILLE, CO, March 29, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Personal trainer, author and motivational speaker wants women to benefit in the same way that her polycystic ovarian syndrome was transformed
Katie Humphrey knows firsthand about just how miserable PCOS can make a woman's life.
She struggled for years with deeply distressing side-effects of polycystic ovarian syndrome like the lack of a menstrual cycle, weight gain, acne and constant fatigue. Finally, she was diagnosed with insulin resistance-linked PCOS and urged, like many women with this disorder, to take birth control pills and anti-diabetes medication to improve her health.
Unhappy with the prescribed course of action, Katie set off on a mission to discover a more natural way to overcome her condition. After extensive research, she began taking the Insulite PCOS System, which shared her approach to combating PCOS via natural supplements, nutrition and exercise. Within six months, she had lost over 25 pounds, had clear skin, enjoyed consistent, natural energy and radiated confidence. Her menstrual cycle was restored and her hormones were balanced again, so she no longer experienced mood swings, night sweats or PMS.
The transformation compelled Katie to find a new purpose in life and she became a NASM certified personal trainer and nutrition coach. Clients flocked to Katie and, after gaining enough experience, she turned her business, JK Humphrey International, into a global virtual company. Katie, who holds a B.A. in Business Administration, subsequently wrote a book entitled Freedom from PCOS: 3 Proven Steps to Naturally Overcome Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and Insulin Resistance.
She has been featured by Shape.com, ChickRx and the Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome Association (PCOSA) as well as interviewed by dozens of national radio shows as a motivational speaker, health writer and life coach for women and girls suffering from PCOS.
Her message is that there are natural solutions to the symptoms of PCOS. And her aim is to empower females of all ages to create extraordinary changes in their health as well as in other areas of their lives by managing positive mental and emotional states.
"I used to struggle with PCOS and serious hormonal imbalance, and now I help women with PCOS take positive action to reverse their condition," says Katie.
"I did it through the support of Insulite Labs and their PCOS System, so now I want to help other women do the same!"
