Gracia, was one of the keynote the event a talked about "The Transforming Role of Latinas Business Owners in the Past Two Decades" and remarked her personal story that was an inspiration for many at the event.
Patricia received a plaque for her contribution to the women History Month and a beautiful medal, a military decoration, from the Air Force Flight Test Center handed by Mr. Tomas R. Berard, SES- Executive Director at the Center.
Patricia Gracia is a petite lady whose work in the field of advertising and marketing, especially to the Hispanic market, has made a giant impact and attracted widespread public recognition through a business she founded in 2001 - Power Media Group Inc.
Founder and President of Power Media Group Inc. and Power Woman Business Center, mother of two beautiful children, Vanessa and Michael-Anthony Gracia.
She was born in Lima, Peru and migrated to the United States by crossing the Mexican border from Tijuana at the age of 18. "I was drawn to the bright San Diego lights," stated Gracia. "I told myself that someday I would sit in the center of that energy and draw on it to create my success and the future of others."
A year later, she had already conquered the language and started working for the Peninsula Hotel, a five-diamond and five-star hotel in Beverly Hills where she learned that the key to great customer service is in providing the small details to the client. "I've always put my best effort and enthusiasm forward to surpass my clients' expectations. That's always being my focus since I opened PMG." The hotel sponsored her education at UCLA and received a degree in Public Relations, follow with an internship at the ad agency CRUZ/KRAVETZ: IDEAS, 40 hours of training, follow by a permanent, full-time position.
The support of her husband, Tony Gracia and years of experience in customer service in the hospitality industry formed the strong foundation to develop her own advertising agency in 2001: Power Media Group, with the tag line "We love your business as we love our baby." She has consistently renewed her goals in life and is now fully focused in projecting the Hispanic woman as a woman of success.
The knowledge and experience she gained as a thriving businesswoman and entrepreneur is being applied to an expanded outreach via and founded in 2009, The Power Women Business Center, a business incubator for business women that want to start their own business and the only way to help the Economy during the recession time. "My way to give back to our Nation is to help and create new businesses." Due to her valuable contribution, Patricia has been named United States SBA Minority Small Business Champion of the Year 2010.
Patricia is currently attending The University Center at COC, and her new dream is obtain her Bachelor's degree in Psychology.
With the tag line and philosophy of "we love your business as we love our baby," Gracia developed and presented the image of a successful empowered Latina woman and grew a reputation for delivery on her promises to clients. Her work has been so successful that she has realized a lifelong dream of opening a business incubator for other women, aptly named, "Power Woman Business Center." Gracia believes that as she took to the podium to deliver her keynote, she has reached a pinnacle in her career. "To be invited to participate in this way is the highest honor," stated Gracia.
