PHUKET, THAILAND, April 17, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- For five days between 17th and 21st May 2011, Festival Musica Sacra will feature amateur groups performing some of the best classical music and hymns. The event is dedicated to sacred music and so choirs will have to sing only church music and the orchestras will be giving various recitals of famous classical compositions.
The festival is due to feature international participants coming from across Europe and is set to include some of the best non-professional organisations worldwide. The format for the show will consist of performances between 30 and 40 minutes each and will be held in churches throughout Venice's city centre.
Contestants are free to choose whichever hymn or piece of music they like and the organisers, MRF Music Festivals, will enable everyone to have a run through with the conductor before taking to the stage.
The final day of the event will comprise the festival concert where all the attendees will be performing and sharing their talent for one last grand showpiece. Anyone looking for cheap Venice hotels over the festival dates will find limited options as with all the contestants many places will be taken up.
Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com commented: "Amateur performers eagerly await the festival every year and hotels are often booked months in advance so groups should be sure to plan early."
