PHUKET, THAILAND, April 20, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A Rocket to the Moon will join fellow cult rockers MayDay Parade on stage in what is sure to be an in-demand gig.
The joint concert will be held at the University on 22 May this year and with tickets to the gig strictly limited in numbers, fans of the bands need to move quickly to secure admission. The Cardiff Student Union refurbished its live concert venue not long ago and today offers a cool venue to visiting bands which is home to decent acoustics.
A Rocket to the Moon have not previously toured the UK but will be looking to develop the reputation that their The Rainy Day Sessions EP got them last year. The EP charted in the NME alternative charts and secured a decent amount of airtime on niche radio shows and stations.
MayDay Parade is a more established band who has enjoyed decent album sales over the past five years or so. As such they are the effective headliners at the gig and will perform second in the evening.
Fans of the two bands are expected to travel from around the region to attend the gig, and anyone who wants to get a Cardiff hotel close to the University to stay over would be advised to book ahead online to save themselves money.
Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com, says: "These two bands do certainly enjoy a cult following in the UK and as such tickets for the concert will be snapped up fast. To help people save money on a place to stay we can let them compare the best value deals around before booking to make the most of their budgets."
