MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA, April 23, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Walking With Dinosaurs - the Arena Spectacular is heading to Melbourne at the start of next month and promises to be bigger and better than ever.
The exhibition was named the bestselling global tour of 2010.
It features 20 life-size representations of dinosaurs including the terrifying Tyrannosaurus rex, recreated for the installation as a 12-metre model with 150 mm serrated teeth.
Some $20 million (AU$19 million) has been spent on creating the display, which offers visitors the chance to see them walk, fight and roar.
The production runs at the Hisense Arena in Melbourne from May 4th to 15th 2011. Evening performances kick off at 19:00 local time, while morning and afternoon shows are also available on certain dates.
Ticket prices start at AU$69.90 for adults and AU$44.90 for concessions and children aged between three and 16.
Hisense Arena can be reached Tram 70, which stops outside the venue. The number 246 bus calls at the corner of Olympic Boulevard, around 500 metres' walk from the arena.
Cabs and water taxis can also be used to reach the building.
Dinosaur enthusiasts thinking of booking Melbourne hotels and watching the show can visit LateRooms.com.au and choose from a wide and varied selection of last minute accommodation in the city.
