    PRAGUE, April 23, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Swedish pop act Roxette are set to perform at one of the Czech capital's biggest venues this summer.

The chart-topping duo, known for hits such as Listen to Your Heart and It Must Have Been Love, will play live at the O2 Arena in Prague on Sunday June 5th.

Vocalist Marie Fredriksson and songwriter Per Gessle have sold more than 75 million records worldwide since forming the band in the mid-1980s.

Although they planned only to record a one-off track when they first got together, the pair released their debut album Pearls of Passion in 1986 and went on to conquer the charts with a string of hit singles.

Roxette's commercial profile may have dipped during the next decade, but the duo continued to release new songs and perform to fans around the world.

They also survived Fredriksson's diagnosis with a brain tumour in 2002 and returned to the spotlight earlier this year with Charm School, their first studio LP in ten years.

Fans can expect to hear plenty of tracks from the new album at the O2 Arena, as well as old favourites such as Dressed for Success and Joyride.

Tickets for the show are priced between 690 Czech koruna and 1,190 Czech koruna (GBP25.10 and GBP43.40)
