There are many Sudoku apps already in the App Store. So what makes this one different? In RollDoku, a completed Sudoku solution is wrapped around a three-dimensional cylinder. The cylinder is divided into 9 horizontal layers and the layers are re-arranged so that the game starts in an unsolved condition. The challenge of the puzzle is to take the layers of the cylinder, and orient them correctly, horizontally and vertically, so that the numbers follow the rules of a Sudoku puzzle. That means that each row, column, and block should contain each of the numbers 1 to 9, only once. Unlike Sudoku, all numbers are given to you, so there are no numbers to fill in. As you play, RollDoku continually checks to see if you have found one of the many possible solutions, and notifies you immediately when you have successfully solved the puzzle.
