After participating in a parent-cooperative school and realizing students were not grasping basic skills, Ms. Ward created Early Learning Foundations, a private tutoring company. A former kindergarten teacher with over 7 years of field experience, she helps students develop a solid foundation. Ms. Ward tutors 3-year-old to 12-year-old students in mathematics, language arts and reading. To ensure that her students are progressing academically, she follows up with them on a weekly basis.

A registered early childhood educator, Ms. Ward received a diploma in early childhood education from Sheridan College. She is a teacher for a youth group of high school students at her local church, and member of the College of Early Childhood Educators. In the future, Ms. Ward intends to establish an on-site student center.
