PHUKET, THAILAND, May 07, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Between 11th and 13th June, Model Expo 2011 is set to feature the skill and artistic ability of Australia's best modellers who will be showcasing the accuracy and precision that goes into making the models so real. Visitors can see scaled down models of a variety of military vehicles both pre and post 1950, and these will include tanks, ships and even large firing weapons.
Hundreds of entries are due to be submitted within each category, with designs for aircraft including propeller driven and jet propelled planes, motorcycles and civilian transport. Other divisions are set for cars and trucks which are expected to incorporate race cars and there'll be another category for figures such as soldiers and Japanese samurai.
Model fans travelling from Melbourne hotels should head to the Sandown Entertainment Centre within Springvale where they can also see a large collection of famous movie and fantasy characters along with science fiction personalities. The event is open from 10:00 to 17:00 each day and entry costs $10 for adults and $5 for children under 17.
