LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND, May 15, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Everyman Theatre is staging a production of Macbeth starring David Morrissey and Julia Ford.
Running until June 11th, the show sees the pair take on two of the most famous roles ever written by the Bard.
Morrissey, who started his acting career at the Everyman, has a host of high-profile acting credits to his name, including the acclaimed 2003 production of State of Play.
Directed by Gemma Bodinetz, the adaptation of the celebrated William Shakespeare story also stars Matthew Flynn, Gillian Kearney and Eileen O'Brien.
In a statement, the venue said: "Macbeth's desire to gain power and keep it at all costs threatens to destroy a nation, replacing dignity and rules of law with guilt and paranoia."
Tickets for the show cost between GBP10 and GBP24. It lasts 165 minutes including an interval and contains scenes of violence, so under-12s are not recommended to attend.
Evening shows from Monday to Saturday start at 19:30 BST, while Wednesday and Saturday matinees begin at 13:30 and 14:00 respectively.
