Luxury Lingerie Retailer Journelle Welcomes Former Loehmann's CEO to Board

    NEW YORK, NY, May 18, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Fine lingerie retailer Journelle, announced today that Robert N. Friedman, former Chief Executive Officer of Loehmann's, has joined the company's Board of Directors.

A veteran of the retail industry, Friedman was employed by Macy's for 28 years in various positions, including Chairman and CEO of Bambergers. In 1992, he joined Loehmann's as President and Chief Executive Officer, a role he held until 2008 while also serving as a Director. In April 2008 was appointed Vice Chairman of the Board, a role he held until March 2011. Since January 2009, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of eZCom Software Inc. and an advisor to laTerrine, a high-end specialty tabletop retailer. In 2008, Friedman was honored by The Educational Foundation for the Fashion Industries at the Fashion Institute of Technology.
