They were able to prove to the IRS agent that the client could not pay back the debt. The IRS agent consulted with a manager for approval on the Currently Non-Collectible (CNC) status. Blue Tax then followed up with the agent to verify that the client indeed was accepted for the CNC program. Sandra was relieved to hear that her status of Currently Non-Collectible meant that she was not forced to pay these back taxes right away.
