VACAVILLE, CA, May 25, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- CALINC Training, the leading provider of EPA and OSHA training and certification courses, is proud to announce the availability of two new training courses focusing on meeting the requirements of OSHA's permit-required confined space standard, 29 CFR 1910.146.
These courses will teach students how to recognize, evaluate, prevent and abate safety and health hazards associated with confined space entry. Technical topics include the recognition of confined space hazards, basic information about instrumentation used to evaluate atmospheric hazards, and ventilation techniques. These courses feature practice with permit entry classification and program evaluation.
Entering and working in confined spaces is a high-risk job. It is crucial that all employees involved in a confined space entry understand the potential hazards and strictly adhere to the work practices and entry procedures. Confined spaces include underground vaults, tanks, storage bins, manholes, pits, silos, process vessels, and pipelines.
"We are proud to extend our course catalog by offering the new Confined Space Entry training course," said Mrs. Carla Wroten, director of CALINC Training. "Ensuring that all workers and supervisors working in high-risk confined spaces are properly trained and certified is paramount."
CALINC Training is now offering two Confined Space Entry classes, an 8 hour introductory class and an extensive 3 day course. Please contact CALINC Training at (707) 446-7996 for additional information.
