Heather A. Lash Recognized for Excellence in Education

    MASSILLON, OH, May 25, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Heather A. Lash, K-12 Mathematics Consultant at Seeds of Knowledge Math Consulting, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in mathematics education.

Ms. Lash is an educator with a love for mathematics and a passion for making a difference in the lives of students. She has nearly 15 years of experience and specializes in professional development and workshops. For the past eight years, she has served as a K-12 mathematics consultant for Seeds of Knowledge Math Consulting, where she works primarily with the Everyday Mathematics program. Ms. Lash serves 16 school districts in Ohio and throughout the United States and Asia; she has traveled to Asia three times in the past year. Her responsibilities include coaching in classrooms, conducting workshops, implementing math curriculum, model teaching, and leading curriculum development sessions. She works with two other consultants and plans to expand her consulting business into additional states in the years to come.

In 1996, Ms. Lash earned a dual bachelor's degree in elementary education and mathematics, with a minor in secondary education, from Mount Union College. She went on to obtain a master's degree in education administration from Ashland University. Prior to her current position, she worked as a high school and elementary school teacher, as well as a K-12 mathematics coordinator. She holds a curriculum, professional development and administration license and is affiliated with the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. Ms. Lash attributes her success to her faith in the Lord and volunteers through her local church in her spare time. She also enjoys reading and spending time with her daughter.
