MADRID, SPAIN, June 02, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Protos Crianza 2008 and Protos Reserva 2005, both from Bodegas Protos, recently won gold medals in the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2011. This is one of the most important competitions in the world of viticulture, as it provides a showcase for the latest trends and developments in the industry, and gold represents a significant achievement.
From 6th to the 8th of May, the world's top wine tasters, buyers, importers, journalists and food critics came together in Luxembourg to evaluate over 7,000 wines entered in the competition.
Among those receiving the highest scores were two PROTOS wines, the 2008 Crianza and the 2005 Reserva, both of which won gold medals, and both of which are unprecedented Ribera del Duero wines.
