MANCHESTER, ENGLAND, June 02, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The UK's biggest cosmetic surgery provider, Transform, is to be the focus of a brand new documentary that is set to be aired next week on Channel 4.
Premiering on Thursday June 2nd at 10pm and named 'Bums, Boobs and Botox', this hour-long special will offer viewers an insight into how procedures are carried out in some of Transform's most successful UK clinics.
In addition to showing the day-to-day work Transform's expert surgeons and staff undertake every day in helping people achieve the look and confidence they want, the documentary looks at individuals who have chosen to undergo all manner of treatments - whether surgical or non-surgical.
This includes breast augmentation, one of the most popular treatments the group offers, as well as eye bag removal, hair transplants, dermal fillers and microdermabrasion. Also under the microscope is the popularity of Botox and how this treatment is being used by people of all types.
In shooting the documentary, Transform allowed the crew unrestricted access to their clinics over a period of three months and, commenting on the finished product, a spokesperson for the group explained that it had been a chance to show what the cosmetic surgery industry is about.
"This has been a great opportunity for us to show exactly what goes on in our surgeries up and down the country," the spokesperson said. "We're really happy we were able to give such a balanced view of things, showing that while certain treatments are a great boost for some people, they may not always be right for everyone. We really hope people enjoy taking a look at the work we do in transforming people's lives."
Running at over an hour, the documentary has a voice-over by Peep Show star and one half of comic duo Mitchell and Webb - Robert Mitchell. Once it has aired on terrestrial TV, Bums, Boobs and Botox will be available on Channel 4's streaming catch-up service 4OD for 30 days.
