PHUKET, THAILAND, June 03, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Bach Festival (Heidelberger Bachwoche) also known as Bach Week will feature a wide selection of the composer's most famous pieces. Musicians will be coming from Germany and overseas to play at the event and all the performances will be held within the grand surroundings of the Holy Ghost Church.
Bach died on 28th July and each year the festival holds a full week of recitals leading up to the day and so visitors fond of the musician can go to see the concerts from 21st July 2011. Along with the music the festival also relates Bach's compositions to areas of art, music and religion.
The final day of the festival on 27th July will see a performance on the church's organ taking place in the late evening and starting at 23:00. The hour long concert is particularly moving as the organist will play up until the last moment when the bells of the church bells start to chime and then fade away marking the anniversary of the legendary composer.
Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com, commented: "Visitors heading to the city are reminded that Heidelberg hotels are due to be filled with guests attending the concerts over this time and it can be much more difficult to find a room. Reservations should be made online as quickly as possible to avoid disappointment."
