YPI Group May News Round-Up: MARY-JEAN II Wins Accolade while Caracas Cocktail Party is a Great Success

    ST TROPEZ, FRANCE, June 05, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- At the beginning of the month YPI Group were delighted to have two of its yachts, MARY-JEAN II and LIONHEART nominated for honours at this year's World Superyacht Awards. The awards, which are now in their sixth year, were designed to honour the finest new build superyachts of the preceding twelve months.

This year's ceremony took place at London's magnificent Guildhall and was attended by some of the major player's in the yachting industry as well as some of the most affluent and passionate yacht owners. YPI Group was particularly delighted to see the 61.7m (202'5") MARY-JEAN II, which is currently available for super yacht charter from EUR310,000 per week, awarded the honour of 'Best Displacement Motor Yacht'.

"She was in one of the most competitive categories of the whole evening," says Head of YPI Charter, Fiona Maureso. "Up against the likes of ADDICTION, BEL ABRI, SOLEMATES and the ISA 63M. Winning this category is testament to the design and build quality of MARY-JEAN II."

Unfortunately the 43.4m (142'5") sailing yacht LIONHEART, which is currently available for crewed yacht charter was overlooked in terms of honours in its own category. Nevertheless it is a fine achievement for YPI Group to have had two yachts simultaneously nominated for honours at such a prestigious and exclusive event.

While 'social networking' is all the rage on the Internet, it's been well established in the yachting industry for more than a few years now and YPI Group followed the Hong Kong launch of YPI Asia, with an exclusive VIP cocktail evening at a private villa in Caracas, Venezuela.

The event was attended by around 30 invitees and gave YPI Group CEO, Bertrand Vogele, the opportunity to explain a little about the particular services that YPI Group has to offer, as well as to find out what those living in Venezuela expect from a company in terms of services such as private yacht charter.
