CLIFTON, NJ, June 08, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Bat Blue Corporation, a provider of end-to-end network and security technologies and services, today announced that it will participate in World IPv6 Day on June 8th. World IPv6 Day is being organized by the Internet Society to motivate organizations to prepare their services for IPv6 to ensure a successful transition as IPv4 addresses deplete.
Bat Blue has been a proponent of IPv6 for several years and has had IPv6 enabled on its extreme-performance IP network, BlueNET, since 2008. During this time, Bat Blue has invested in many IPv6 peering relationships with other like-minded network and content providers. Bat Blue has also been engaged in several high-profile client IPv6 enablement projects and has standardized on issuing an IPv6 /48 netblock to all BlueNET clients.
During World IPv6 Day, for 24 hours, network service providers, Internet service providers, content delivery networks, website owners, hardware and software manufacturers and others will enable IPv6 on their main services and test its readiness. This is the first global-scale production trial of IPv6. Bat Blue is proud to be included on the Internet Society's list of currently enabled IPv6 networks and websites: http://www.worldipv6day.org/ipv6-enabled-websites/index.html.
"Bat Blue built its BlueNET network to address the inadequacies of the current legacy Internet model. As a cloud-enablement and rich content delivery platform, BlueNET was designed with an eye towards the future, so it was imperative to support IPv6, the protocol that we believe will sustain the Internet over the next 30 years," said Babak Pasdar, President & CEO of Bat Blue Corporation. "We're excited to see the industry come together at this critical time to reinforce this transition. Bat Blue's clients are well poised since all of our offerings support high-performance IPv4 and IPv6."
Bat Blue's IPv6 Offerings
BlueNET, Bat Blue's extreme-performance, low-latency IP network, is designed from the ground up as a next-generation network that overcomes the latency and resiliency challenges of legacy IP networks. BlueNET outperforms comparable legacy carriers by a factor of 10 in the area of performance and supports IPv4, IPv6 and V6-in-V4 encapsulation.
Bat Blue's Cloud/Serv, an in-the-cloud application delivery platform, delivers high-performance IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack gateway translation services. This allows simultaneous support of IPv4 and IPv6, giving clients the flexibility to begin a smooth transition to the new protocol without disrupting existing functions. As organizations find the need to migrate to IPv6 features and capabilities, Cloud/Serv offers a simple high performance and extremely functional means of enabling IPv6 support for their entire perimeter.
Bat Blue's complete, in-the-cloud security solution, Cloud/Sec, addresses one of the greatest challenges in transitioning to IPv6, proper security and threat management. Cloud/Sec is IPv6 ready, allowing organizations to migrate to IPv6 features and capabilities while maintaining the highest level of security. Cloud/Sec is a comprehensive, robust and complete perimeter security solution that eliminates the expense, burden and ineffectiveness of legacy security approaches and tools.
