KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA, June 12, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The William Shakespeare play Julius Caesar will be staged in an accessible form at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPAC).
Running from June 29th to July 3rd, the production is perfect for people who want to enjoy the Bard's work but find the language to be baffling.
The show is part of the Shakespeare Demystified project, which boils down the playwright's tales into simple theatre and includes sections of modern narration to help people understand what is happening.
Julius Caesar is believed to have been written in 1599 and is one of several pieces based on Roman history created by Shakespeare.
In a statement, the organisers of the Kuala Lumpur play remarked: "The Shakespeare Demystified project aims to share the joy and genius of the Bard's masterful storytelling and curious understanding of humanity."
The show is 80 minutes long and will be performed in the Indicine room of the KLPAC at 20:30 local time daily until July 2nd. Matinee performances take place at 15:00 on Saturday and Sunday.
Tickets cost 20 ringgits (GBP4.05).
