SINGAPORE, June 29, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Travellers can see some of the brightest stars of the future play at the President's Young Performers Concert next month.
Taking place on July 8th 2011 at the Esplanade, the show will see three promising musicians take the stage and present a programme featuring compositions by Samuel Barber, Jean Sibelius and Henryk Wieniawski among others.
Joshua Kangming Tan will take on the role of conductor, a position he already occupies with Beijing's NCPA Orchestra. He won the Mitropoulos Conducting Competition.
Violinist Loh Jun Hong will star during the Wieniawski piece, while pianist Azariah Tan will take centre stage for a rendition of George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue.
For those who want to find out more about the musicians and the pieces they are set to play, there is a pre-concert talk in the Library of the venue at 18:30 local time.
The performance begins at 19:30 in the Concert Hall. Tickets cost between S$15 and S$72 (GBP7.50 and GBP36).
