LONDON, ENGLAND, June 29, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A huge festival of arts entitled Create11 began on Friday (June 24th) and runs for a month in east London.
It is the second year that the event has taken place and there will be all kinds of activities for people to get involved in.
There are various potential highlights, including Create House, a secret building somewhere in Canary Wharf where high concept art meets quality cuisine.
Another intriguing feature of the festival is Folly for a Flyover, a temporary structure in between the two sides of the A12 that will house a waterside cinema and cycle-powered boats among other events.
In a statement, the organisers said: "From art and music to dance and theatre, Create is a unique cultural programme that's all about taking part - so roll up to the Right Side of London and join in."
The occasion, finishing on July 25th, includes a variety of walks and talks relating to the area, as well as a multitude of music, dance and theatre productions.
One of many oddities comes from world-famous stage company Punchdrunk, which has taken over an abandoned shop and created a headphone-led experience inspired by the Charles Dickens book The Uncommercial Traveller.
Events are individually priced, with the Punchdrunk production costing GBP6.
