PHUKET, THAILAND, July 10, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Being held in association with the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), MEOS 2011 will see attendance from the society's members who will be leading discussions on core changes affecting the industry's future.
Key themes will cover areas such as reservoirs, production, drilling and techniques used for exploration. The society consists of more than 92,000 members and 50 senior figures from the industry will hold panel discussions on the foremost issues suggested by attendees.
A number of technical sessions will also run along with the conference addressing issues such as transient testing of oil wells and water flooding management aimed at engineers and geologists.
The exhibition will then present the newest technology available and will feature exhibits from the six national oil groups that operate in the Gulf including Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO) and the Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco).
A section will also be dedicated to students with the 'Get Energy' village focused on explaining what skills are sort after within the industry and opportunities for career development.
Both the exhibition and conference will be housed within the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre between 25th and 28th September 2011.
