Former Bad Company Bassist Paul Cullen Goes "Unplugged and Uncorked" at Annapolis' Crush Winehouse

On Tuesday, July 26th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, patrons of Annapolis' Crush Winehouse will have the opportunity to experience the sweet - and unique - combination, for themselves.

A longtime professional musician who was the 1990s bassist for the English Rock Super Group, Bad Company, Cullen will showcase both his "Jazzy Cool" acoustic guitar sounds (showcased on his latest CD, "Eleven Sundays"), and his newly launched wine label, Sonata, which will be making its Maryland debut.

While "Eleven Sundays" marks Cullen's third solo project in four years, Sonata is his first wine label. Even so, Cullen is no stranger to the wine business. He spent several years as a rep for an Italian wine importer. The experience not only enabled him to develop expertise in the field, but also unleashed a new passion, which ultimately resulted in the birth of the label. Sonata features both red and white wines: a Syrah, Zin, Cab Franc combination and crisp Pinot Grigio, both from the Sierra (CA) foothills.

The Crush Winehouse appearance marks Sonata's Maryland debut, but Cullen has, in fact, been sharing the "Unplugged and Uncorked" experience with audiences and shoppers in retail and dining establishments around Delaware for outlets such as The StoneBalloon WineHouse (Newark), Teller Wines (Lewes), Port (Dewey), Outlet Liquors (Rehoboth Beach), and Beseme (Lewes).
