WEST SUSSEX, ENGLAND, July 26, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- What's New
- First joint brochure venture between H&J and Emirates
- Increased focus on twin-centres using Dubai as stopover and stay destination
- Expansion of tours programme to Sri Lanka
- More four and five star resorts in Dubai, Mauritius and the Maldives
After working together productively in recent years, long haul specialist Hayes & Jarvis (0871 200 2211, www.hayesandjarvis.com/agents) is partnering with Emirates Airline for the launch of its latest brochure to promote Dubai and the Indian Ocean. On sale from next week, Dubai & Indian Ocean by Hayes & Jarvis in association with Emirates puts an increased focus on twin-centre holidays that use Dubai as a stopover en route to Indian Ocean, African and Far Eastern destinations.
Hayes & Jarvis Programme Director Lesley Rollo said: "For several years our holiday programmes have been built exclusively around scheduled flights because these allow us to offer clients freedom of choice over holiday itineraries and durations. Over the past couple of years this has led to a mushrooming in demand for the more flexible multi-centre trips that H&J has made the cornerstone of its operation and this trend has made Dubai increasingly important to us as a destination that combines well with a range of countries.
"In that time our relationship with Emirates has blossomed, making the airline a natural partner for H&J in the new joint brochure. The exciting aspect of this new venture is that it paves the way for more unusual combinations - for example, Dubai twinned with Africa or the Far East."
In order to develop its multi-centre programme further, H&J is spotlighting a wide range of destination combinations within the new brochure. These are divided into Dubai plus Indian Ocean beach stays - featuring Mauritius, Seychelles, Sri Lanka and Maldives resorts - and Dubai plus beach or city stays in Africa and the Far East. The latter showcases Dubai in combination with Phuket, Koh Samui, Hua Hin and Langkawi beaches or combined with city stays in Bangkok, Hong Kong and Cape Town. A third option sees Dubai twinned with tours in Sri Lanka, India and China. And to demonstrate value, the hotel choice extends to three, four and five-star accommodation in all cases.
Commenting on the new partnership, Christine Sutton, Leisure Sales Manager UK&I, Emirates Airline said: "We are delighted to be partnering with Hayes & Jarvis on this exciting twin centre brochure for Dubai & the Indian Ocean. With a choice of six UK departure points for flights to Dubai and beyond to the Indian Ocean, we believe Emirates is a natural partner and will help this twin-centre programme to grow."
Emirates offers a wide range of flights from throughout the UK to Dubai and beyond. The airline flies five times a day from Heathrow, three times daily from London Gatwick and Manchester, double daily from Birmingham and daily from Newcastle and Glasgow to Dubai. From there, it offers twice daily services to the Maldives, nine weekly flights to Mauritius, 10 weekly services to the Seychelles and a three-times daily service to Sri Lanka,
In addition to the multi-centre programme, Dubai & Indian Ocean by Hayes & Jarvis in association with Emirates also features a wide range of holidays in its core destinations of Dubai (including the Emirate of Fujairah), the Maldives, Mauritius, Sri Lanka and the Seychelles - with new hotel introductions in all regions.
In Dubai H&J has added a new luxury option on The Palm Jumeirah. Located on the western crescent, the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray is the latest five-star property to join the operator's growing programme. Three-night prices start from GBP989 per person (valid 31 May-14 October 2012). At four-star level the Amwaj Rotana joins the programme, priced from GBP739 per person.
H&J has boosted its Maldives All Inclusive collection by introducing the five-star Constance Moofushi Resort in the South Ari Atoll. Set in what is regarding as one of the world's best dive sites, five-night flight-inclusive holidays start from GBP2,599 per person and include seaplane transfers (1 September-31 October 2011).
On Mauritius H&J is including the newly-refurbished three-star plus Emeraude Beach, close to Belle Mare on the east coast. Featuring thatched-roofed bungalows in harmony with its lagoon setting, the All Inclusive resort adds to the growing number of well-priced AI properties on the island. Five-night flight inclusive Mauritius holiday packages start from GBP1,159 per person (23 April-15 July 2012).
The biggest boost to Sri Lanka comes in the form of new H&J tours in Yala National Park and on the island's east coast - both intended as add-ons to beach stays. Priced from just GBP299 per person, the three-day Yala tour is recommended for clients looking for safari options that are cheaper than in Kenya or South Africa.
Describing the east coast as Sri Lanka's 'hottest new destination' H&J is also featuring a five-day East Coast Sri Lanka tour, priced from GBP429 per person, which it recommends adding to its existing Classic Ceylon itinerary to provide a broader exploration of Sri Lankan highlights.
Lesley Rollo said: "This area of Sri Lanka has only recently become more accessible for tourists. Good quality hotels are opening up and we foresee strong demand for this rugged, rural area, which, arguably, boasts the best beaches in an island of great beaches. Clients will be able to benefit from excellent diving, whale watching at certain times of the year and lovely white sands. The whole area is wonderfully unspoilt and its historic main city, Trincomalee, is a great attraction with the world's fifth largest natural harbour."
Dubai & Indian Ocean by Hayes & Jarvis in association with Emirates features holidays in Dubai, the Maldives, Mauritius, Sri Lanka and the Seychelles and is valid for bookings September 2010- March 2012. Brochure twin centre prices start from GBP995 per person (two sharing) for a 10-night package combining three nights' B&B at the Ibis Deira City Centre, Dubai with seven nights' Full Board at Biyadhoo, Maldives (departs 2 September 2011).
