ROANOKE, VA, July 27, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Timothy Isaacs, Education Coordinator for The Virginia Bar Association Rule of Law Project, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in legal education.
Mr. Isaacs entered public education 45 years ago as a result of his personal convictions about the federal government's handling of the Vietnam War. Following the receipt of a Bachelor of Arts, he completed a Master of Education in curriculum and instruction and a Master of Arts in English to further hone his teaching skills. For the past three years, he has utilized this expertise as the education coordinator for The Virginia Bar Association Rule of Law Project, which offers training opportunities for lawyers and teachers to introduce public school students to the rule of law as the foundation for their rights and responsibilities as citizens in a democratic society. Exercising a desire to maintain an ongoing education himself, Mr. Isaacs holds memberships in the National Council for the Social Studies, ASCD, and The Virginia Consortium of Social Studies Specialists and College Educators, which allow him to exchange his educational experience with other industry professionals. Through The Rule of Law Project, Mr. Isaacs and his partner Michael Pace are working with The World Justice Project, Legacy International, the University of Virginia Center for Politics' "Global Perspectives in Democracy Program," and the Montpelier Center for the Constitution to expand civic education and the rule of law to international and national audiences. Mr. Isaacs and Mr. Pace will co-teach The Law and Society at Roanoke College this fall.
