The move is intended to provide the IBM/Ricoh/InfoPrint industrial reseller channel with a high performance replacement for models expected to be withdrawn from the market due to InfoPrint's planned exit from the market.

The Tally iSeries family is a top-of-the-line set of printers that are compatible with a wide range of IBM systems, using interfaces and protocols developed and tested in many installations world-wide. These models come with Ethernet and Parallel interfaces as standard and also have many optional interfaces available such as Coax/Twinax with or without IPDS, and Ethernet IPDS.
