CALABASAS, CA, August 07, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- klipMedical, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cortiss LLC an industry leader in Electronic Medical Records (EMR,) has received the Federal government's "meaningful use" stamp of approval by earning Ambulatory Modular certification. The designation officially deems the electronic health record (EHR) software capable of enabling providers to qualify for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Tested and certified under the Drummond Group's Electronic Health Records Office of the National Coordinator Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ONC-ATCB) program, the EHR software is 2011/2012 compliant in accordance with the criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
"If you're considering a new EMR solution, there's no time like the present," said Michael Nourani, founder of klipMedical. "A recent article stated that the dependence on monolithic EHR products; with well defined features that are presumably comprehensive, has kept health care IT expensive, difficult to implement, use and maintain. Doctors are looking for a solution that will provide a path to the stimulus cash. klipMedical EMR provides a cutting edge technology to address these antiquated concepts and at the same time deliver the incentives of being a "Meaningful Use" provider."
Drummond Group's ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification program tests and certifies that EHRs meet the meaningful use criteria for either eligible provider or hospital technology. In turn, healthcare providers using the EHR systems of certified vendors are qualified to receive federal stimulus monies upon demonstrating meaningful use of the technology -- a key component of the federal government's push to improve clinical care delivery through the adoption and effective use of EHRs by U.S. healthcare providers.
As part of the federal government's HITECH mandate, eligible providers can qualify for up to $44,000 in Medicare incentives if they demonstrate Meaningful Use of a certified EHR system. In a practice with three eligible providers, the incentive would total $132,000 over five years.
"Developing the next generation of truly innovative and contemporary IT infrastructures has been an invigorating experience," said Michael Nourani. "klipMedical is leading the technological wave of adaptability, ease of use and flexible architectures".
This EHR Module is 2011/2012 compliant and has been certified by Drummond Group, an ONC-ATCB approved agency to certify any complete or modular EHR both ambulatory and inpatient, in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services or guarantee the receipt of incentive payments. klipMedical EMR, was certified on April 28, 2011 , Version 2.1, Certification ID number is 04282011-5032-1, Clinical Quality Measures Certified 170.302 C-H, J,M, O-V and 170.304 A, C, D, G.
