WEST PALM BEACH, FL, August 20, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Thousands of music lovers will soon be hearing the exciting music of The Great American Songbook when Bob Lappin and The Palm Beach Pops return to the South Florida stages to celebrate their 20th concert season beginning November 4, 2011.
Known for their signature themed concerts, The Palm Beach Pops will launch its 2011-2012 season with acclaimed performances of the most requested songs from the past 20 years of concerts and bring back all-time favorite performers such as Clint Holmes, Lillias White, David Burnham and Lynn Roberts, as well as showcasing some of today's top performers including John Pagano and Lea Salonga.
Music director and conductor Bob Lappin will lead the orchestra into a celebratory season with six commemorative concert series at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach, The Carole and Barry Kaye Performing Arts Auditorium at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton and the Eissey Campus Theatre at Palm Beach State College in Palm Beach Gardens.

The season opener delivers Bob Lappin and The Palm Beach Pops to the stage to perform all-time audience favorites from the Great American Songbook including music by Harold Arlen, Irving Berlin, Jerome Kern, Frank Sinatra, Doris Day, and Judy Garland.
