Ocean Tug & Barge specializes in the design of ATBs for ocean and coastwise service. Currently, the firm is developing ATB designs for 500,000-barrel "ShuttleBarges" for service in the Gulf of Mexico, as well as ATB designs for the carriage of everything from chemicals, to petroleum products, to containers, to railcars and bulk materials.
OTBE has provided ATB engineering support to shipyards such as Alabama Shipyard, and Halter Marine, and has performed contract design services for Mobil Oil Corp., Conoco, Reinauer Transportation, Penn Maritime, Dixie Carriers, Canada Steamship, and many other companies.
Hill has over 30 years of experience in ATB design, which includes working with most of the major tug/barge connection systems available worldwide. He is a member of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers.
