    BANGKOK, THAILAND, September 02, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Bangkok visitors will be able to take part in the 14th Charity Midnight Run this October, which is being sponsored by hotel chain Amari and BMW Thailand.
 
The event is the only midnight race to take place in the Thai capital, with the 2011 edition to be held on the evening of Saturday October 8th.
 
Participants can choose to compete in a 6 km or 12 km race, with more than 5,000 competitors expected to take part in total, including both locals and foreign entrants.
 
Winners of each category, including male and female, family team and fancy dress team brackets, will be presented with the Royal Trophy of HRH Princess Sirindhorn, while anyone who finishes receives a commemorative medal.
 
Last year's fastest competitor was Khun Pattaraphol Noymoor, who completed the 12 km course in 36 minutes and 40 seconds.
 
Entry forms can be purchased for either 300 baht (GBP6.20) or 1,000 baht, with those choosing to make the larger donation earning entry into a raffle for lavish prizes.
 
All proceeds from the run will be donated to local children's charities and humanitarian organisations.
