According to the venue, the 76-year-old is due to perform an evening of "stream of unconsciousness and sit-down comedy" at the Keswick theatre on Sunday October 9th.
 
The veteran writer and comedian is known for creating gags for many of the biggest stars in British showbusiness, including the likes of Tommy Copper, Bruce Forsyth, Rory Bremner and Kenny Everett.
 
He will be joined on stage in the Lake District by pianist Colin Sell, who frequently appears alongside Cryer on Radio 4's long-running comedy panel show I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue.
 
Cryer will return to the Theatre by the Lake following a sold-out appearance at the venue three years ago.
 
His latest show is called Butterfly Brain, which is also the title of his third volume of memoirs.
 
Tickets are available online, priced between GBP10 and GBP17.50. The performance will begin at 19:30 BST.
