EAU CLAIRE, WI, September 13, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Visitors to the Museum of Motherhood (M.O.M.) in New York City will have the opportunity to experience RealCare hands-on simulations from Realityworks while touring the exhibit. Realityworks became a corporate sponsor of M.O.M. by supplying them with multiple RealCare Baby infant simulators and RealCare Pregnancy Profiles for the exhibit.
The first and only facility of its kind, M.O.M., aligned with the Motherhood Foundation, is a museum that offers attendees the opportunity to study and understand the important job of a mother. Its goal is to strengthen the voice of mothers while connecting the cultural family. The museum features an exhibit called "Mother The Job," by artist Alexia Nye Jackson, on-going programming for children and adults alike, and several music and theater performances and events.
"When people ask what the museum is, I tell them this - we have mustard museums, marble museums and car museums, but until now, there have been no museums dedicated to this all important job of creating the next generation of human being," said Joy Rose, Founder and Executive Director of Museum of Motherhood. "Visitors will get a look at the role of a mother; the RealCare simulators are truly a great addition to the museum, and they will help engage them through their visit."
RealCare Baby is a state-of-the-art computerized infant simulator that provides a realistic hands-on experience of caring for a newborn infant. The simulators are used in thousands of schools and organizations around the world to help teach infant care skills, and provide a learning experience about the commitment required to be a parent. Also featured is the RealCare Pregnancy Profile which simulates the third trimester of pregnancy. Visitors will have the opportunity to wear the profiles while touring the exhibit.
"Having our programs as part of the Museum of Motherhood is very exciting for us," said Timmothy Boettcher, President of Realityworks. "Our programs encourage learning through an experience. We hope our simulators will not only engage their visitors, but also give them insight into the role of a mother."
M.O.M. is located at 401 East 84th St.(at 1st Ave.), New York. It opened September 1 and will be open until December 31. For more information visit www.mommuseum.org . For more information on Realityworks programs visit www.realityworks.com.
