Jackson Design & Remodeling Wins Two Gold Master Design Awards for Stunning San Diego Remodels

    SAN DIEGO, CA, September 26, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jackson Design & Remodeling (JDR) -- winner of the 2011 GuildQuality Award with Highest Distinction for the fourth straight year and Professional Remodeler Magazine's Market Leader for the third consecutive year - is proud to announce it has won two Master Design Awards, the prestigious peer-to-peer awards program for professional remodelers by Qualified Remodeler Magazine.

Jackson Design & Remodeling earned two Gold Master Design Awards in the following categories: Kitchens $40k -$100k and Baths over $50k. As gold award winners, both remodels will be featured in the October 2011 issues of Qualified Remodeler and Kitchen & Bath News.

The first win, the "Surfer Kitchen", located in Oceanside, Calif. was remodeled by JDR Designer Rosella Gonzalez to convey a playful personality and make use of limited space. The husband, an avid body surfer, wanted to make some changes to the kitchen design to better accommodate his arrival home from the beach in full wetsuit attire. The various design details used, such as backsplash tile, cabinetry, and track lighting based on horizontal lines, helped achieve a unique sense of balance and unity for the eye-catching kitchen. Koneto vinyl flooring, remarkably close in appearance to hardwood, allows the husband to walk with wet feet in the home without worrying about slipping or damage.

The second master design award went to a Spanish Revival-inspired bathroom in a historic Marston Hills home. With the implementation of a skylight and addition of rich colors, JDR Senior Designer Tatiana Machado-Rosas created a classic, sophisticated and ornate aesthetic for the homeowners.

The Master Design Awards are judged by remodeling industry peers from across the country making it one of the most prestigious and sought-after annual awards programs in the industry.
