Pool Cover Specialists Launches Swimming Pool Energy and Water Savings Calculator App for iPhone, iPad, and Android Devices

The Calculator then compares the data, side by side, with the potential savings that could be achieved from using an automatic pool cover. Multiple studies, including a comprehensive study by the U.S. Department of Energy, show that the average, uncovered, heated, residential-swimming-pool generates annual costs as high as $4,500 or more in energy and chemical usage and water-replenishment costs. These studies also show that, on an annual basis, an uncovered, average-sized pool evaporates as much as 25,000 gallons or more of water and introduces tons of hydrocarbons into the atmosphere.
