LAKE OSWEGO, OR, October 17, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Of the more than 5 million women and men who have lupus worldwide, 90% are women. Lupus is now more common than muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, leukemia and cystic fibrosis combined... most of these diseases have strong advocacy, fundraising and awareness campaigns and lupus... is still relatively unknown. Molly's Fund Fighting Lupus - a Northwest based Lupus education and awareness group for those who are afflicted with lupus recently launched a new travelling display, which gives a voice to the women who have lupus, and strives to bring lupus into the mainstream awareness. To learn more visit www.MollysFund.org
Molly's Fund Fighting Lupus also unveiled a new web site - www.VoicesofLupus.com which is a new community for those with lupus, providing an online forum and chat, profiles of courage of those fighting the disease, and plenty of thoughts and encouragement. In all, this will be one of the most progressive sites dedicated to those with lupus.
The new travelling display - Voices of Lupus - Our Stories, Our Struggles, will kick off a multi-location tour throughout the Northwest. The display brings to life the stories of lupus patients and sufferers in a way never before seen. Through photos, stories, education and facts, attendees visiting the display will learn a tremendous amount about lupus in a few minutes. Making the mission of Molly's Fund come to life in a way never before seen!
