Autism EDS Launches New Online Knowledge Center

Autism Education Services has launched a new knowledge center on their website dedicated toward expanding knowledge and awareness about Autism Spectrum Disorders.

SAN DIEGO, CA, October 21, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Autism Education Services (Autism EDS) has launched a new knowledge center on their website dedicated toward expanding knowledge and awareness about Autism Spectrum Disorders. As an integrated part of the Autism EDS website, the Knowledge Center serves as a resource for teachers and education professionals searching for autism strategies and interventions to help them meet the special classroom needs of children with autism.

The Autism Knowledge Center has brought together a collection of informational articles, guides, and support material created by professional educators and autism specialists with the goal of raising the level of education for children with autism. The research based information and sustainable strategies available at the Autism Knowledge Center and developed by Autism EDS are cost effective strategies with proven success rates with children.

The new Autism EDS Knowledge Center also encourages outside autism experts to contribute their own expertise and experience in an effort to provide the most comprehensive resource for teachers and educators working with children with autism spectrum disorders.

"There are teachers across the nation and throughout the world who are finding themselves responsible for the education of children with Autism, yet often times they really don't even know where to begin. We've created a place for them to come to get an introduction to the foundational principles as well as stay updated on the more cutting edge research and techniques," says Judy Monday, founder of Autism EDS.

Autism spectrum disorders affect more than 48 million people world wide. These developmental disorders range from mild to severe. Mild, or high functioning, autism is often diagnosed as Asperger's Syndrome and the child may show few outward signs of autism. More sever cases of autism may render a child unable to communicate or function in a social setting.

Autism Education Services believes in its mission to serve the educational community by providing services and support to school districts and teachers across the nation in understanding Autism Spectrum Disorders. With over 60 years experience, their autism specialists hold a minimum of a Master's Degree and specialized certificates including BCBA and NBCT.
